Frequently Asked Donation Questions
We are sorry you are having an issue donating to Humane Society International. Here are some commonly-asked questions that may be helpful for you.
- Can I pay with PayPal? Yes. You can select PayPal as your payment option for any one-time payments. We are unable to accept PayPal for recurring gifts at the time. You can also login to PayPal directly and send your donation to firstname.lastname@example.org.
- I don't see PayPal as a payment option. In some instances, we are not able to offer PayPal due to certain accounting restrictions. Please try donating using this form, which does accept PayPal for one-time gifts.
- I keep receiving an error when trying to donate. Often an error message is generated because your credit card information has been incorrectly entered or your credit card has been declined -- please try to re-enter your credit card number again. If you still see an error message, please try a different credit card.
- I tried to donate but received an error message that says "15005: This transaction cannot be processed." What is this? This is a generic error message because your bank and/or credit card cannot be processed. Please try donating with a different credit card.
- I want to donate an amount other than what you've listed. Please select the box labeled 'Other Amount' and enter an amount of your choice.
- I would like to make a gift donation in honor of someone. Where can I do that? Please visit our Humane Gifts page here where you can make a gift donation and send an e-card to the recipient.
- I don't live in a country with a State/Province. This is not a required field to process a donation unless you live in the United States or Canada. Please make sure you have your correct country selected before trying to make your donation.
- Why is the currency I want to donate in not offered? We are offering as many currencies as we are able to at this time. If you aren't able to donate in your local currency, please select USD. We are working to offer more currencies as soon as we are able with our banking systems.
- Why is the payment type I want to use to donate with not listed? We offer as many payment options as we are able to at this time. Unfortunately, we aren't able to offer them all (but we are working on it!). Please select a payment method that is suitable to you and we appreciate your patience.
- I want to unsubscribe from emails. Please email email@example.com and we will easily unsubscribe you from our email list -- but we are sad to see you go!
